About Celen

A Licensed Psychotherapist here to assist you on your path to hope and healing.

Celen is a Licensed Psychotherapist in the state of California. Born and raised in South Los Angeles, Celen has witnessed first hand the negative effects of poor mental health management and the lack of  access to proper mental health care.  With over 11 years in the mental health field, Celen has dedicated her life's work to bringing mental health awareness to unserved communities, with an emphasis on communities of color.
Celen has worked in various non-profit organizations; clinics, outpatient/inpatient settings, homes, schools, residential, and group home settings, where she has provided individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. Celen has also provided crisis de-escalation support, collateral sessions, advocacy support to her clients and their families. Celen works with clients within all populations;  from mentally-ill homeless men/women/children, clients with co-occurring mental illnesses/substance abuse issues, at-risk youth/teens, individuals, and couples, to individuals with past/current involvement in the juvenile justice system.  
Celen utilizes a person-centered, solution focused, attachment based, and cognitive behavioral therapeutic based approach to treat her clients. Celen believes in the importance of "meeting clients' where they are" and will provide them with a safe, confidential space to allow clients to discover their true, authentic self.
